Because women are still oppressed and exploited;
Because women are still raped, terrorized, displaced and poisoned;
Because women suffer the most with globalization, militarization and fundamentalism;
Because women are still invisible;
Because women still do not enjoy their full human rights;
Because women are still not on equal footing in societies…
We mark the International Women's Day as a day to declare our strongest condemnation and resistance against imperialist globalization that sows poverty and hunger in Asia, affecting rural women.
The global economic crisis, brought about by the neoliberal policies of globalisation has further disempowered us and aggravated the violations of our economic, political and socio-cultural rights.
We will continue to fight against all forms of exploitation and oppression. We will fight for freedom and justice in our homes, our lands and workplaces. We are not cowered by fear to demand changes.

Because women are still not equal, we collectively raise our voice for
RIGHTS, EMPOWERMENT AND LIBERATION!
