Venkata Nagama is campaigning for the welfare and development in her community. She focusses on advancing children's welfare and women's rights, especially on child health and protection, and reproductive health. She is also involved on animal welfare and wild life protection and environmental concerns. An active force in her community, she is able to influence the community to act on these areas and ultimately received the cooperation of UNICEF. Through her efforts, she is able to rescue 11 bonded labourers including four (4) children from mining owners/companies in Palukuru Village in the District of Kurnool.
