The strength in Sudha Mohan's cause can be found in her clear understanding of what is right from wrong. Her realisation that one should have the initiative to correct current systems and practices around one's self came when she witnessed the land grabbing being done by local representatives in Gram Panchayat. Having been exposed to local politics, she became more aware of the various issues that confronted her community. This led to a number of successful campaigns on good governance, support for inter-caste marriage, land rights, children's right to education, and a call to end violence against women.
