Aside from being a Medical Professional and Public Health Specialist, Dr. Subrina Jesmin is also a social worker. She has attended a number of significant training courses on human and women's rights. She applied her vast knowledge for the improvement of rural community in Bangladesh by providing maternal and child healthcare (which earned the support of the government of Japan), immunisation and supporting anti-tobacco campaigns. She contributed in areas such as health issues, human and women's rights, gender equality, and hygiene and sanitation. She has been serving rural Bangladesh through educational and advocacy programs, satellite health camps, health research, free diagnostic and clinical consultation services, establishment of rural health centers, employment of rural women to health services, capacity building for rural health, dissemination of information through training, and workshops, among others.
