With a vision to alleviate the conditions of the poor, especially of women, Sarita K.C. established the Ideal Women Development Center (IWDC) in 1992. Since then she has committed to enhance employment opportunities and local resources mobilisation within the community through skills training, education and advocacy programmes - all aimed at empowering women and increasing their involvement and participation in decision-making and developmental work.
As leader of the IWDC, she worked hard to be able to serve her community the best way she can. She armed and trained herself by participating in various trainings on human rights, education for freedom, women's rights, political leadership among others. As a result, she has now become a resource person for various leadership, gender and empowerment trainings for women.
