Menuka remembers herself lacking in self-confidence when speaking even in front of 2 people. Getting involved in leadership trainings and joining the Women's Federation Network, she started to understand and learn more about women's rights and advocacy. While she had experienced various obstacles in her life, she challenged the patriarchal system and gender discrimination at the homefront and in her community. Menuka's dedication and advocacy for women's rights empowered her. She has become committed to helping women who were victims of violence and gender discrimination demand for justice. Now, she boldly shares her experience and advocacy, and provides the voice of women in front of the public.
