Krishna Kumari Waiba heads the Society for Women's Empowerment and Sustainability (SHRISTI), an NGO working on issues related to women, children and marginalised groups. She works on various issues such as human rights, women and children's rights, rights of farmers, good governance, social justice, women's empowerment, environment and rights of indigenous peoples. Through SHRSTI, Krishna Kumari Waiba aims to share her knowledge and skills over the country from grassroots to national levels.
She is part of various organisations that works for the empowerment of women through capacity building, lobbying, networking, advocacy activities. She is a member of the Steering Committee of Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women (GEEoW) Project and the Chairperson of the Community Development Programme Sindhuli (CDPS), to name a few. She is also a writer and an editor on social and development publications. Indeed, she has dedicated her life for the upliftment of the rural communities especially of women.
