Indra Kumari Gurung is the Chairperson of Women Awareness Vision Centre (WAVE) since 2007, a network of women professionals working throughout Nepal within a wide range of organisations conducting gender-related trainings for government agencies and NGOs, and supporting field-based women professionals. Her experience for 20 years on various fields (coordinator, trainer, volunteer, etc) made her an effective force in raising the quality of lives of women in Nepal. Her knowledge and experience gave her the creativity to undertake various activities for women, children and adolescent girls with the purpose of achieving a gender-just society where women and men have equal opportunities and the children can duly practice their rights.
