Dr. Farzana Shahid, Ph.D is an accomplished academic. She specialised in Women and Gender and worked to alleviate the conditions of women in her country, particularly with farmers. Dr. Farzana handled the Women in Agriculture and Development Alternatives Programme where women became empowered through capacity building, lobbying and campaign activities. She worked with various organisations (local and international) including the USAID and the United Nations. Her commitment and dedication serves the rural women, peasants, and other marginalised communities.
