Dangri Devi at first was not aware about her rights. After attending several capacity building workshops under the Mahila Swastha Adhikar Manch, she promoted and fought not only for her own rights but also that of other women. This led to many assertions in improving the lives of women in her community, such as access to health services, and concerns on domestic violence. She was also able to educate and inspire women to participate in local governance and have a voice in the decision-making process -a field known to be dominated by men.
