Ambika used her skills as a teacher and a social worker in educating women to understand and assert their rights. Her experience with many organisations enabled her to mobilise women farmers and conduct various agricultural and capacity building trainings. She also advocated for the literacy of women in her aim to establish leadership capacities, increase women's self confidence, facilitate registration for Dalit in their districts, put a stop to all forms of violence against women, among others.
She has worked with a number of organisations like Women's Teacher Association, Dalit Woment's Group, Child Development Group, and has participated in pre-consultation workshops of the Fourth World Women Conference, International Dalit and Caste Prosperity Development Conference and We Can Campaign. Needless to say, she has dedicated her life for the upliftment of rural communities (especially women). She has worked hard to bring out the creativeness of women, promote their empowerment and hone their skills as well as educating them on what their rights are.
