Aini Tahir is the first woman in her family who finished her studies. She now has a Master's Degree in English under her belt. Her education opened her mind to the realities that women face - oppression, discrimination, harassment and violence. Having been made aware of these challenges, she was able to establish Sindhica Women Empowerment Organization, that raise the awareness of the rights of women, highlight gender concerns and reduce violence against women.

Aini, through Sindhica, facilitated and conducted seminars and trainings that facilitated the women's empowerment process. She also campaigned to put an end to violence committed against women. With her dedication and commitment in the promotion of gender equality and protection of women's rights, she is an inspiration to many women in their communities.
